Should I Buy Raw Water?

Raw WaterThe following information is for education only and is not meant to diagnose, prescribe, or treat illness.

H 2 The Izz-O... What is H2O anyways? Isn't it supposed to mean that there are two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen in each molecule of water? Is that the whole recipe? I don't know if it is the intended recipe, but we are drinking more than that if we drink from today's traditional sources of water.. the taps. I don't know exactly what's in there and I'm not a water expert but it does sometimes kind of taste bad and smell a little funny, don't ya think?

Somehow a charcoal filter like the Brita makes the water taste a bit better but it still doesn't filter out all the impurities and additives. Granted, the water that comes out of our taps might be better off with additives to kill any potential bacteria, etc. but at what cost?

Being that our bodies consist of some-75% water, should we be so lax about it?

Some people suggest drinking water straight from a spring from the earth (or bottled water straight from the spring like the Raw Water product if a spring isn't available), and others are content with drinking from the tap or filtering their water in some way. And there are others that are indifferent about the whole thing.

I personally do not live near a spring to get my water from so I decided to look into raw water recently...

What Is Raw Water?

Raw Water Raw living spring water is said to be "unfiltered" and "untouched" and bottled within minutes of leaving the Earth from "one of the oldest and most revered natural spring water sources in North America". Learn more about raw water here.

Summit Spring Water Interview with Daniel Vitalis

In the YouTube video above, Daniel Vitalis interviews president of Summit Spring Water, Bryan Pullen.

Opposing Thoughts Regarding Raw Water

Frederic Patenaude attempts to debunk the claims regarding raw water in the video below. He feels that "the claims made to promote are downright wrong".

He does make a couple of good points... about getting "living" water from fruits and veggies and the other about the environmental factor. He talks about us having to buy more "stuff" <-- not a direct quote... and the increased recycling needs.

He didn't mention this, at least as far as I heard, but perhaps the increased need to ship the water may pose a problem environmentally as well?

You can learn more about Frederic here. Now onto the video...

David Vitalis On Water

Below are a couple of videos with David Vitalis (raw author and speaker). They are pulled from Kevin Gianni's YouTube video collection and are recent interviews done with Daniel, while they were both at the recent Longevity Conference.

Daniel Vitalis on What Type of Water to Drink

This YouTube video discusses drinking "ripe" spring water...

Daniel Vitalis mentions that he has been studying water for about 5 or 6 years and has been discussing it in his teachings for the last couple of years.

Questions were posed...Is water water? Do we need to remove stuff from it? Based on the internal structure of the water, is it of good quality?

Daniel's take on using machines to clean and improve water... he says that he always wants to go to the Earth to get the things that he needs, he wants to drink "wild water".. water that comes from ecosystems.. he mentions his long term goal to be a hunter-gatherer... he feels that a little machine cannot replace what the Earth can do regarding cleaning water and making it pure.

Daniel feels that water from ecosystems "makes you feel better than water that has been processed". He gives examples of processed water as: most of the bottled water, water from filters, distilled water, resultant water from reverse osmosis, deionized water, desalinated water..

He prefers to drink water that has been found in springs, which is why he created the site FindASpring.com.

What Do You Look For In A Spring?
  • "Actual springs" have water coming from aquifers
  • He likes a low mineral content (minerals are dropped off upon rising to the surface). Using a TDS meter, mineral levels can be tested. He looks for a TDS reading of around 50-150 parts per million but says that a little higher or lower is acceptable for him.
  • He looks for water that has a clean smell and taste which suggests low mineral content.
  • He prefers water that comes up cold to the surface.
  • He feels that well water is not the same and that is has been taken too early in the process. It is generally still full of minerals, not quite "ripe" yet and not ready for consumption. He likens it to a green banana.
Also in the video, Daniel talks about how virtually everything on the Earth's surface can be tested and found to have Strontium 90 on it (from nuclear detonation), however, spring water can be tested and not have Strontium 90.

Therefore, spring water, since being underground for so many years (a few thousand) and not being exposed to Strontium 90 and other pollutants and toxins, it could be looked at as the cleanest substance available...

...and being that our bodies are mostly water (75% or so), our bodies can potentially be up to 3/4 "clean" when drinking spring water. <-- That information alone makes me think raw water is a good product and worth buying (if the price was lower and didn't have to be shipped from so far away) if you do not have a spring nearby.

Are Plastic Bottles OK to Store Water In?

This YouTube video discusses the importance of the drinking "container" for water...

* Every effort was made to summarize accurately what was viewed in the video, however, this is not an official transcript of the video, and we may not be held liable for any errors or omissions. Please watch the video for clarification on anything written below.

Daniel talks about how light can affect pop, beer and even water and allow the carbonic acid to leave the liquid, giving it a "flat" taste. He uses a container for his water that light cannot penetrate and has an airtight lid. His container also has the added benefit of keeping the water cool, crisp and fresh.

He explains about storing water in a brand new plastic bottle... the greasiness on the bottle ends up in the water that we consume. He says if plastic is necessary, cleaning it out very well before storing drinking water in it is the best bet. He further suggests... because plastic has the potential to photodegrade that it is best to keep it out of the sun, heat and light.

He says moving from tap water to spring water is the biggest plus (the next best thing would be pulling low mineral water from a well). And... spring water in glass rather than plastic is just a small refinement and not really worth stressing over.... because drinking from the spring is such a significant advancement anyways.
